UE Approved Domains

Each subject has what is called a 'Domain'. This is the subject area. For University Entrance you need UE LIT (5w/5r) as well as 14 credits from THREE domains (subjects). You cannot mix domains for the 14x3. For example, if you did a Geography assessment in Sustainability, these are from two different domains, so they could not be mixed together for UE.

3 Art Printmaking (Digital)

3ARDYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Painting' UE Domain. There are 22 AS credits offered within this course.
3 Visual Art3ARTYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Printmaking' UE Domain. There are 22 AS credits offered within this course.
Commerce

3 Accounting3ACCYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Accounting' UE Domain. There are 17 AS credits offered within this course.

3 Business Studies

3BIZYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Business Studies' UE Domain. There are 15 AS credits offered within this course.

3ENAYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'English' UE Domain. There are 28 AS credits offered within this course.

3 English Internal

3ENGYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'English' UE Domain. There are 20 AS credits offered within this course.

3MASYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Mathematics and Statistics' UE Domain. There are 27 AS credits offered within this course.

Please note, you can not use 3MAS and 3MAT as TWO UE Approved Domains. If you take BOTH 3MAS and 3MAT, it will only count as ONE complete UE Approved Domain. Please see the HoD if you are not sure.

3 Mathematics with Calculus


3MACYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Mathematics and Statistics (Calculus)' UE Domain. There are 24 AS credits offered within this course.

3 Mathematics (General)


3MATYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Mathematics and Statistics' UE Domain. There are 17 AS credits offered within this course.

3DTGYou will be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Digital Technologies and Hangarau Matihiko' UE Domain. There are 18 AS credits offered within this course.

3 Fashion Focus

3FASYou will be offered at least 14 AS from a mix of 'Construction and Mechanical Technologies and Generic Technology' UE Domain. There are 16 AS credits offered within this course.

Please note, if you select both 3DPD and 3FAS as TWO UE Approved Domains you will need to see the HoD to have an Independent Plan (IEP) put in place to ensure you get 2x Domains. 

3 Design and Product Development


3DPDYou will be offered at least 14 AS from a mix of 'Design and Visual Communication and Generic Technology' UE Domain. There are 14 AS credits offered within this course. 

Please note, if you select both 3DPD and 3FAS as TWO UE Approved Domains you will need to see the HoD to have an Independent Plan (IEP) put in place to ensure you get 2x Domains.
Civics (CFP)

Level 3 Civics and Future Prep


3CFPYou can be offered at least 14 AS from the 'Social Studies' UE Domain. This needs to be a conversation with your teacher next year. Teachers can develop an IEP so you can gain UE Approved from 3CFP.
