This course develops students literacy skills across reading and writing, speaking and listening, viewing and presenting.
Course Overview
Term 1
Reciprocal reading/speaking and listening - 6 weeks. Descriptive writing/viewing and presenting - 5 weeks. EasTTLe reading assessment.
Term 2
Reciprocal reading/speaking and listening - 6 weeks. Narrative writing/viewing and presenting - 4 weeks. AsTTLe writing assessment.
Term 3
Reciprocal reading/speaking and listening - 4 weeks. Persuasive writing/viewing and presenting - 6 weeks. EasTTLe reading assessment and asTTLe writing assessment.
Term 4
Reciprocal reading/speaking and listening - 4 weeks. Expository writing/viewing and presenting and examination preparation. Examination in reading and writing.
Recommended Prior Learning
A solid literacy foundation in primary school.
