LEVEL ONE: Head of Department: Ms L Keating
Course Information Year 11 students must take an English course
The Level 1 English course is designed to meet the literacy needs and academic requirements of students.
Students will be assessed against the English achievement standards. In this course students will demonstrate understanding of specific aspects of studied text, demonstrate understanding of how context shapes verbal language use, develop ideas in writing using stylistic and written conventions, and demonstrate understanding of significant aspects of unfamiliar texts.
LEVEL TWO: Head of Department: Ms L Keating
Course Information Year 12 students must take an English course.
The Level 2 English courses are designed to meet the University Entrance literacy needs and academic requirements of students. Entry to classes will be based on the individual student’s achievement and their teacher in consultation with the HOD.
LEVEL THREE Head of Department: Ms L Keating
Course Information Year 13 students do not have to take an English course.
The Level 3 English courses are designed to meet the University Entrance literacy and University Entrance academic requirements of students. Entry to classes will be based on the individual student’s achievement and their teacher in consultation with the HOD.
