Course Description Recommended Prior Learning

Students are recommended to take our Year 9 Mandarin class, or seek the advice of the Mandarin teacher and the authority from our HOD.

- Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills

- Able to communicate and interact in basic Mandarin.

Students will learn to read, write and interact in the Mandarin language related to everyday topic and explore Chinese culture. In this course we aim to develop understanding in 9 key learning areas and skills as follow:

Skills: Listening Reading Presenting

Speaking Writing Debating

Conversation Research Analysing

There will be formative assessments across the year and formative/ summative assessments at the end of each term.
